– Why certify your products?
Create new business opportunities with TCO Certified
IT products come with a number of sustainability challenges throughout their life cycle, from manufacturing to end-of-life. As a brand owner, working proactively with environmental and social issues is an opportunity to meet growing customer demand, build your brand and get a competitive advantage.
Strengthen your brand and reduce risk
Certifying your products to TCO Certified is an effective way of taking the next step in social and environmental responsibility. Our criteria and independent verification help you structure your sustainability work and offer a platform for continuous improvement.
Using TCO Certified is a way of reducing environmental and social risk, allowing you to communicate about product sustainability issues in a trustworthy way.
Meet buyer sustainability demands
More than ever, IT buyers demand products that are responsibly designed and made. Many organizations want to be environmentally and socially responsible, reduce business risk and meet national and international sustainability targets such as climate related goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
TCO Certified helps you meet these purchaser requirements in a way that is verifiable, and that opens business opportunities for you.
Complete certification that can be used worldwide
TCO Certified is a complete sustainability certification that covers both social and environmental responsibility throughout the product life cycle. Certificates are valid worldwide and can be used as proof of compliance in all countries. TCO Certified is an ISO 14024 certification, which means that the criteria are based on scientific principles and that an independent party verifies that the product and its manufacturing comply with all criteria.
A straightforward process
It generally takes three to five weeks to receive the certificate, once all documents and the product sample are delivered to the verification organization. We work with a number of accredited verifiers that are qualified for product testing, verification of declarations and factory audits.
