We have now started developing criteria and verification methods for the next generation of TCO Certified. The development process is open to all stakeholders, and you are welcome to take part.
To address the most pressing sustainability challenges and stay current with the latest technology developments, a new generation of TCO Certified is developed every three years. It includes new and updated criteria and verification methods for all 12 product categories that the certification covers.
Timeline
September 2023: First draft released. Your feedback is welcome.
February 2024: Second draft released. Your feedback is welcome.
May 2024: Publication of final criteria documents.
December 2024: TCO Certified, generation 10 is launched, and the first certified products are presented.
Our ambition with the next generation of TCO Certified is to take new steps toward more sustainable IT products. Updates and changes will be presented in webinars and on tcocertified.com. As always, there will be opportunities to provide feedback and comment on the drafts. More information will come as we get closer to the release of the first draft.
