In December, we’re publishing criteria for data centers. Until November 12, the drafts are open for stakeholder comment.

To help tackle the growing sustainability issues with data centers, TCO Certified will be expanded to include network equipment, data storage products and servers. These three new product categories will be added to the most recent generation of TCO Certified — generation 8.

In September, the criteria drafts for these three product categories were published. For another few days, you can contribute with your comments.

Timeline

September 12: The drafts were released, including criteria and product definitions, test and verification methods.

November 12: Last day to contribute with your comments.

November 13-December 11: Review of all comments. Any adjustments to the criteria documents are made.

December 12: TCO Certified, generation 8 for network equipment, data storage and servers will be published. From the release date, brand owners can apply for product certification and purchasers can ask for TCO Certified in the procurement of data centers.
