As part of criterion 8.2, E-waste management, the e-waste management template must be completed and submitted by the end of August each year. The template covers all markets where certified products are sold.
Data should cover the previous calendar year on a global scale for each certified product. This applies until one year after the certificate expires.
The following data must be entered in the e-waste management template:
- The number of certified products that were manufactured. The brand owner may either report data for each product model separately or submit an aggregated figure for each product category.
- All countries the certified products were sold in.
- The name of the take-back system or extended producer responsibility schemes (EPRs) used for each country.
- The name and address of the reuse and recycling facilities processing the collected products together with the standards met by the facilities (i.e. R2, e-Stewards, EN50625, or equivalent).
The e-waste management template must be evaluated and uploaded to TCO Certified Portal by an approved verifier. You can check the status of the e-waste management template in the “SRM” section on TCO Certified Portal.
