Brand owners with products certified to TCO Certified, generation 9 must now take action to prove continued compliance with a number of social criteria.
Failing to meet due dates can lead to certifications being canceled and factories being restricted from manufacturing certified products.
What you need to do now:
-
- Submit the responsibly sourced minerals template.
- Book a meeting for the 2022 SAQ interview.
- Make sure that all factories registered in TCO Certified Portal have submitted the following:
- Independent factory audit reports (RBA-VAP or SA8000)
- ISO certificates (ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001).
- Supply chain identification template.
- Process Chemical Data Collection tool (PCDC tool). During 2022 the factory must prove they have transitioned to only using cleaning solvents listed on TCO Certified Accepted Substance List by submitting the PCDC tool to an approved verifier.
TCO Certified Portal exists to help brand owners keep track and make sure all required socially responsible manufacturing documents are submitted on time. It is the overall responsibility of the brand owner appointed representative (and not TCO Developments) to keep a check on the status of the required proof documents to make sure they are submitted on time.
