Another safer alternative flame retardant has been added to TCO Certified Accepted Substance List and is now approved for use in certified products.
The following flame retardant has been assessed by an independent Licensed GreenScreen® Profiler, using the framework GreenScreen for Safer Chemicals. It has received a benchmark score that is accepted for use in certified products, and is therefore added to TCO Certified Accepted Substance List.
With this addition, TCO Certified Accepted Substance List now includes 22 safer alternatives to restricted halogenated flame retardants. The list is dynamic and the substances may be reassessed in light of new scientific findings.
