Certified products must meet all criteria in TCO Certified. This principle also apply to configurations sold under the same sales name.
Brand owners with products certified to TCO Certified, generation 9 must now take action to prove continued compliance with a number of social criteria.
Another safer alternative flame retardant has been added to TCO Certified Accepted Substance List and is now approved for use in certified products.
Some products are shipped without a complete paper manual. This affects how brand owners can show compliance with criterion 1.1.
The new benchmarking function for brands is now available for beta testing in TCO Certified Portal.
TCO Certified, generation 9 was launched on December 1. It is no longer possible to apply for certification according to the previous generation.
Another independently assessed chemical has been added to TCO Certified Accepted Substance List.
Brand owners must now book the annual code of conduct review and SAQ interview with an approved verifier.
