The US EPA is about to release a new version of Energy Star criteria for displays – version 7.0.

The new version will come into effect on July 1, 2016. TCO Development intends to adopt and implement Energy Star version 7.0 on the same date. This means that all applications for TCO Certified Displays 7 we receive from July 1 and onwards must comply with Energy Star version 7.0. However certificates already issued do not need to be updated and may continue to comply with the Energy Star version that was effective during the time of certification.

You can also amend and update existing certificates, for example by adding alternative LCD-panels, without showing compliance with Energy Star version 7.0.
