Using TCO Certified has become even more valuable. With the introduction of Report Generator, you can track your progress and create tailored sustainability reports for certified products, based on independently verified data and your organization’s use patterns and region.

After a period of development work, the beta version of Report Generator has now been replaced by the first finished version. By creating customized reports in Report Generator, you can measure and track the sustainability impacts of the certified IT products your organization uses. Reports include independently verified data and claims that support your sustainability strategy and allow you to report progress both internally and to external stakeholders.

Four core sustainability pillars

Report Generator offers insights into the four core sustainability pillars of TCO Certified:

  1. Climate: product carbon footprint and scope 2 & 3 emissions
Insights into the reduced climate impact of your certified IT products. Get access to product Carbon Footprint measurements (scope 2 and 3 emissions) and gain clarity on the climate impact of your IT product portfolio — in the use phase and supply chain. Calculate annual emissions and reductions when products are used longer.
  2. Substances: hazardous substances and safer substitutions
Transparency on the reduction of hazardous substances and the inclusion of safer alternatives. Get access to claims you can use to confirm the use of safer chemicals such as flame retardants, plasticizers and process chemicals. The data supports the shift to safer substances and chemical transparency, and progress toward safer, more sustainable recovery, reuse and recycling of products and materials.
  3. Circularity: material footprint, extended product life, and e-waste
Measure recycled plastic content and e-waste reduction potential. See recycled material content breakdown and your material footprint. Project future e-waste reduction and material footprints of your IT products based on extending their usage life. The data supports the shift toward greater circularity of IT products.
  4. Supply chain: social and environmental responsibility in the supply chain
Get access to information about the number of workers in final assembly factories manufacturing your certified IT products, and claims you can use related to factory compliance with conventions, standards and criteria for socially responsible manufacturing.

Customized reports

Reports in Report Generator are customized to your organization’s specific needs and conditions. You choose which product models to include and the number of units per model. Greenhouse gas emissions are adapted to the energy mix available in your region. You can also predict annual emissions based on how long products will be in use.

How to get started

Report Generator covers product models that are certified according to TCO Certified. When you want to create a report, you start by making a product list in Product Finder. Select all products that you want to include in the report. Once this is done, you are ready to create your custom report in Report Generator.
